Bold and Bright Styles from SEE Eyewear’s SS 2014 Collection
Spring brings on a sense of newness – change is in the air. I have been feeling the need to bring a bit of change to my life, and while new haircolor seems like such a commitment, new eyeglasses I can handle. I knew I needed to look no further than SEE Eyewear which recently opened a new Seattle location (see launch party pics here).
I wanted to share my experience at SEE, because it really was like no other. First off, being greeted with smiles and welcoming words made me immediately feel at home. The SEE showroom has a plethora of bright, colorful frames in a multitude of materials, yet everything is laid out in cohesive vignettes.
The uber-chic Amber greeted me with a smile in her bright blue flat-metal frames, and showed me some frames she thought would work for me. But while she handed me options as we walked the room, she also asked questions about what I was looking for, what I did for a living, what I was comfortable with, and what would push me a bit. I appreciated her assessing her client instead of just suggesting styles she wanted to sell.
She collected several options (see tray picture below), and we then sat down and tried each one on. I settled on a pair of purple acetate frames, that are rounder than my current pair, bold yet subtle at the same time. A departure from my standard tortoise shell granny frames – one that is the perfect change I needed for Spring.

SEE Eyewear recently launched their Spring/Summer ’14 collection – replete with colorful modern styles. The collection echos trends from the runway, including bold, bright colors, translucents, mixed materials (including titanium and acetate) and flat metals.
