When I was in high-school, we had an Everything But Water store at our local mall. It was a great destination for swimsuit shopping, featuring suits in every color and style. Walking into the store was a total sensory experience – a rainbow of colors pleased the eye, loud beats blasted, the scent of cocoa butter filled the air. I always left happy with my new summer swim suit.

Last month, I learned that a brand-new Everything But Water store was opening in a nearby mall, and I had the pleasure of attending a press-event. The store had changed since my last visit years ago. But the change was for the better! Everything But Water still sells swim suits in every style – from string bikinis to one-pieces, but…

…they also sell everything you need to complete your beachy look! Cover ups by Nanette Lepore, Sun Hats by San Diego Hats, Chunky bangles and necklaces by Ben Amun, sandals by DV and beach bags by Deux Lux to name just a few. Everything but Water also has their own line of adorable bathing suits and pareos.

The store layout is clean, and easy to shop. Swimwear is displayed by color and style, and most of the suits come in a variety of styles. If you see a pattern you like, chances are it comes in a few different top and bottom styles, providing options for every body type.

During my visit, I was greeted by a fit specialist, to help me find the right suit for my body. She and I shopped the store together. While I picked out suits in colors and stlyles I liked, she pulled additional items and made recommendations based on my picks. Then, I tried the selections on in a large fitting room. The dressing rooms are set up in a creative way, with an external private area perfect for husbands and boyfriends to wait in. My fit expert helped me find the right sizes – I really enjoyed this approach to shopping. Defintely a no-pressure yet personalized experience.

Everything But Water generously gifted me with a store certificate, so I picked out an Ikat print suit by Robin Piccone. It chose the Molded Bandeau Top ($70) and Skirted Hipster Bottom ($68), but the suit also comes in other styles.

I also picked up a pretty white coverup – the Nanette Lepore Tribecca Tunic ($132). Now I just need to book a flight!

If you are planning a trip to a sunny destination, or just need some new swimwear, take a trip to your local Everything But Water or shop online. It’s a one stop sun shop!
