Inspired by the recent ADAM show, which boasted an earthy, military-chic aesthetic, complete with taupe nails courtesy of Deborah Lippmann, I have to say the neutral nail trend is growing on me at an exponential rate. I'll admit that when I first caught glimpse of Chanel's semi-recent "it" color, Inattendu, I was less than impressed, but with the fall's promise of plenty of military details, more of the boyfriend trend, and lots of beige-y earth tones, I'm beginning to see the sexy side of skin-tone nails.

As I mentioned, Deborah Lippmann's proclaimed favorite hue Fashion is a hot way to incorporate taupe into your beauty regime, but if something more sheer suits your style, try Essie's Pillow Talk for a barely-there nude hue. Try Tea with the Queen from Butter London for a neutral shade that's a bit on the pink side (and looks especially gorgeous on darker skin), or to punch things up with a little metallic sheen, Rescue Beauty's "Ani" is a golden beige with a subtle glimmer!
